Real Madrid will be out to bounce back from their drubbing at the hands of rivals Atletico last weekend when they take to the field against Deportivo on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men suffered their biggest defeat since 2010 when they crashed 4-0 however with the Pepe set to return at the back, the club will be stronger defensively.

Real won 8-2 when they met La Coruna earlier in the season and with a good head to head record against their visitors they will be confident of maintaining their slender 1 point lead over Barcelona.

The Catalan outfit will be watching events closely with third from bottom Levante their weekend opponents in the comforting surroundings of the Nou Camp.

Fifth place Sevilla will go in search of some much needed confidence when they take on Cordoba. Unai Emery’s side have lost three of their past four league matches with the manager claiming his side are “low on fuel” and in need of a break.

Sevilla’s poor form has seen Valencia leapfrog them into the final Champions league spot. They host Getafe this weekend hoping to consolidate their position in the top four. Just above them Atletico, fresh from their stunning win last time out, face Celta Vigo.

The defending champions are just four points off the top and will head into the clash full of confidence.

“We have a good run of games coming up, we feel at home on the pitch, we’re playing with confidence and getting better and better,” Atletico star Antoine Griezmann said.

“Hopefully it stays that way. On a personal level, I’m getting minutes, playing well and scoring goals. I hope to continue like this, but I have to keep working hard.”

Elsewhere Malaga take on Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano will meet Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao visit Granada, while on Monday, Eibar host Elche in the weekend’s final game.
